Agree! I have just started to learn new programming languages and techniques where you could and should prove your application correctness.

The guys in Australia have proved the whole microkernel to be formally correct. This is really breakthrough.
http://ertos.nicta.com.au/research/l4.verified/

This is the future, not lousy scripts, which you cannot trust at all. Test-driven development is a dead end also. It gives you some confidence, but never 100%,

Look also to more expressive type systems, like ATS
http://www.ats-lang.org/
The language is ugly like the first fortran or even worse. But if you look through the syntax to the semantic, it is also a breakthrough. It it the only language that can check that your C-style qsort code is formally correct, finishes, leaves the sequence sorted, has no memory leaks stray pointers or buffer overflows.

Have a nice day. :)

That make sense - although I have found certain plugins for Android crash iPhone and BlackBerry - so I end up making small changes to the source files anyway. Still it's a good aim, looking forward to next release.

Hey Marc,

I believe the reason the files are the same name is so that you don't need to change your HTML code when going from Android to iPhone, etc. There were some differences in the PhoneGap.exec() call between iPhone and the rest of the projects but that has been addressed for 0.9.5. There is a plan afoot to eventually merge things into a single JS file but we'll have to see how that progresses. As you can see by looking at the BlackBerry project a lot more of that code can be done without ever calling into Java so that presents some interesting challenges.
